Transfer Update: Arsenal board plan on landing Aouar and Partey this window

Welcome to today’s Transfer Update…

A report from the Daily Mirror has suggested that the Arsenal board plan on landing targets Houssem Aouar and Thomas Partey before the transfer deadline in October. As per the report, Arsenal will likely have to pay something in the region of £85m to secure them both.

The two have been targets for the club all summer, but Arsenal will step up the chase now after successfully negotiating the Aubameyang deal.

According to a report in the Sun, West Ham are interested in signing English centre-back Rob Holding on a season long loan.

Rob Holding looked as though he was going to join Newcastle Utd a few weeks ago but Arsenal ultimately had a change of heart. Arsenal currently have injuries in the defensive third and will ensure that they have enough numbers before letting him go.

The Daily Mail has reported that Arsenal have rejected a bid from Sheffield Utd for youngster Folarin Balogun.

The 19-year-old has been impressive for the U23s but it seems as though Arsenal’s valuation of the player is far beyond what Sheffield Utd are willing to pay.
